It felt like an eternity between hearing the semi finalists and the finalists for the Bilenikoff Award. They were initially supposed to announce it yesterday but it needed to wait another day. The wait was worth it when Rashard Higgins was named one of three finalists for the Award. The other finalists are Amari Cooper from Alabama and Kevin White from West Virginia. He will be heading to Orlando, Florida for the College Football Award Show on December 11th. That will be televised on ESPN.

Higgins is leading the country with 1,447 yards and 15 touchdown catches. He is also averaging 144.7 receiving yards per game, thats 17.1 more than any other receiver in the country. He faces tough competition with Cooper and White getting lots of national attention, and both also being very important members of their teams. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.
