San Diego State lost one of their better recruits this week as three-star athlete Evan Rambo switched his commitment over to the California Golden Bears.

The sudden (but somewhat expected) switch leaves the Aztecs with 14 verbal commitments and just four three-star recruits in their 2015 recruiting class.
Rambo has been committed to SDSU since June, but there were reports that he was seriously considering a switch after Cal extended an offer in mid-August. For most, the news wasn't as much of a surprise as it was a long-awaited announcement.
For SDSU, this shouldn't be anything close to a class-breaking decommitment. While Rambo is a versatile recruit, having the capability to play both defensive back and wide receiver at the college level, the Aztecs have plenty of bodies lined up to fill in for him.
SDSU currently hold five commitments from receivers including Jacoby Herring, a 3-star wideout from Perris, California. They have a sturdy DB in three-star safety Mike Bell, and they also have a nifty athlete in Kaiser High School's Dwayne Parchment.
And for those wondering if Rambo could decommit again when more offers start coming in, he seems pretty smitten with Berkeley.
"UC Berkeley is just an amazing institution, top five in the world, so I felt like I couldn't pass up that opportunity" says @RamboEvan #Cal

But how will he fit in with Cal culture?
"I've lived with this rivalry since I was a kid," says @RamboEvan. "To commit during Big Game week is surreal." #Cal #FightForCalifornia

And the nail in the coffin.
"@CalRivals: 3-star ATH @RamboEvan has flipped from #SDSU to #Cal. Just spent an hour on the phone with him. #FirstBlood" Committed.
