There are just two weeks left in the regular season and there is a lot of grabs in both divisions, so that makes every game very important this week, especially in the West division where things can be crazy.
Now we head to our weekly look at the lines this week, and things get started Friday night with dueling games.
9:30 PM Game Time | Record | Line | Betting Trend
Teams | Win-Loss | Streak | Open | Current | Spread | Money | O/U |
Air Force | (8-2) (3-2 A) | W-4 | 49.5 | 50 | 76% | 0% | 100% |
San Diego State | (5-5) (4-0 H) | L-1 | -2 | -4.5 | 24% | 0% | 0% |
Both teams are needing wins to stay in the hunt for their respective divisions. San Diego State is basically being given home field advantage by being a 4.5-point favorite over the Air Force. The Falcons defense has improved over the past few years and the combination of a passing game that they should cover this line, and also win outright.
9:30 PM Game Time | Record | Line | Betting Trend
Teams | Win-Loss | Streak | Open | Current | Spread | Money | O/U |
San Jose State | (3-7) (1-4 A) | L-4 | 46.5 | 46.5 | 0% | 100% | 0% |
Utah State | (8-3) (5-0 H) | W-4 | -9.5 | -13 | 100% | 0% | 100% |
San Jose State is coming off a very embarrassing loss by getting shutout, at home no less, to Hawaii last week. Utah State's defense is the key to the success this year. The Spartans offense has not proven and their red zone issues are why Utah State will not only win but cover this nearly two touchdown spread.
1:30 PM Game Time | Record | Line | Betting Trend
Teams | Win-Loss | Streak | Open | Current | Spread | Money | O/U |
New Mexico | (3-7) (3-2 A) | L-2 | 62.5 | 64.5 | 14% | n/a | n/a |
Colorado State | (9-1) (5-0 H) | W-8 | -21 | -22 | 86% | n/a | n/a |
New Mexico is improving and Colorado State is playing well on both sides of the ball, so I am taking the Lobos to cover but still love the Rams to win by double-digits.
10:15 PM Game Time | Record | Line | Betting Trend
Teams | Win-Loss | Streak | Open | Current | Spread | Money | O/U |
Boise State | (8-2) (3-2 A) | W-5 | -16.5 | -13 | 57% | n/a | n/a |
Wyoming | (4-6) (3-2 H) | L-1 | 58.5 | 54.5 | 43% | n/a | n/a |
It is surprising to see that Wyoming gained 2.5 points on Boise State from the opening line. The change is likely due to home field advantage and Boise State struggling to play a complete game. An upset is unlikely but look for the Broncos to play a complete game and beat the Cowboys by at least two touchdowns.
10:30 PM Game Time | Record | Line | Betting Trend
Teams | Win-Loss | Streak | Open | Current | Spread | Money | O/U |
Fresno State | (4-6) (1-4 A) | W-1 | 62.5 | 60 | 10% | n/a | n/a |
Nevada | (6-4) (3-2 H) | L-1 | -6.5 | -8 | 90% | n/a | n/a |
This is a huge game with the West division on the line for both teams, but more so for Fresno State. The Bulldogs need to win out to be able to represent the West Division, but the Wolf Pack need just to top Fresno State to get the win. Nevada will win and cover the eight points. Fresno State has been too inconsistent.
11:00 PM Game Time | Record | Line | Betting Trend
Teams | Win-Loss | Streak | Open | Current | Spread | Money | O/U |
UNLV | (2-9) (0-6 A) | L-4 | 51.5 | 55.5 | 38% | n/a | n/a |
Hawaii | (3-8) (2-4 H) | W-1 | -8 | -10 | 62% | n/a | n/a |
To say UNLV is struggling would be putting it nice. They are winless away from home and struggle on defense quite a bit. Yet, with the inefficiencies it is hard to see how Hawaii is a 10-point favorite. This is a quasi-rivalry with some exciting games of late between the two. This is a lot of points to give an equally bad Hawaii team, but Joey Iosefa should have a field day and lead the Warriors to cover this 10-point line.
