The Wolf Pack will once again be in the friendly confines of Lawlor Events Center as they face the Adams State Grizzlies, who play in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference out of Division II. Nevada looks to continue the balanced scoring and interior defense that propelled them to a 65-49 victory over Cal Poly on Saturday.
Ten of the 11 Wolf Pack players who played on Saturday, scored and three Wolf Pack players, DJ Fenner, Marqueze Coleman, and Michael Perez were the three players who scored in double figures while Forward AJ West chipped in with six blocks and provided tough, interior defense.
Also, the Wolf Pack look to get the same bench production they got on Saturday. Out of the 65 points scored, 24 came from the bench and Tyron Criswell, Eric Cooper Jr., Robyn Missa & Elijah Foster combined for 19 of those 24 bench points along with ten rebounds.
Adams State won their game on Saturday over the Northwest Christian University Beacons by a score of 92-64. Grizzlies guard Shakir Smith was the leading scorer with 25 points and he and three of the Grizzlies starters scored in double figures. The Grizzlies are coached by Louis Wilson who is in his fifth year at the helm for Adams State and has compiled a record of 77-37.
If the Wolf Pack win, it would give head coach David Carter his 91st win as head coach of the Wolf Pack and that would move him in a tie for sixth with Len Stevens on the career victories list at Nevada.
