College Basketball Rankings: San Diego State ranked 16th in most recent AP poll

Most of the top 25 remains unchanged this week.

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The San Diego State Aztecs are ranked 16th in the most recent Associated Press top 25 poll, the same ranking they had this preseason.

Steve Fisher's squad has only played one game so far, beating the Cal State Northridge Matadors 79-58 last Friday in Viejas Arena. The Aztecs host the No. 25 Utah Utes tomorrow at 1 p.m., and that game will air on ESPN. The Utes now own sole possession of the 25th slot after Harvard lost 58-57 to Holy Cross yesterday.

No other Mountain West team is in the AP top 25 or even received votes to be in the top 25.

SDSU is also the only California school ranked in the AP top 25.
