With it being Monday, we take a look at the early odds for the upcoming Week 12 games in the Mountain West. There are five games this week with four of them being conference games, and every game is on Saturday this week.

While New Mexico put up 49 points against Boise State last week, the oddsmakers are not giving the Lobos any create. Seventeen points is a lot to give to Utah State, especially since its offense is still finding its way with Kent Myers under center. This just seems to be too many points, so my initial pick is to take New Mexico to cover, but Utah State to win.

This is the only non-conference game this week and UNLV is not getting any better, and while BYU is struggling with injuries and defensive inefficiencies take the Cougars to cover this large line.

These two teams are riding a three-game winning streak and somehow Nevada opened as a road favorite over Air Force, but the line quickly changed to give the Falcons a two-point edge. This will likely be the most balanced game of the weekend and is a tough game to pick, but Nevada seems to be clicking a bit more than Air Force so my pick is taking the Wolf Pack to win and cover.

San Jose State is looking to stay in the hunt for a bowl game and they should get past Hawaii this week, and 10 points seems about right as a base line. Spartans will win and cover against the Warriors.

San Diego State has won the last two matchups against Boise State and that has to be taken into consideration despite that the Aztecs have struggled. Boise State is playing extremely well and are very good at home but this San Diego State has struggled this year. However, the Aztecs have potential to be dangerous and two touchdowns seems like a lot, so my lean is for San Diego State to cover but not get the victory.
