Boise State entered this game against BYU as a touchdown favorite, but that clearly was not enough points as the Broncos raced out to a 20-0 lead, and then 41-16 at the half. Ultimately, the Broncos won 55-30 to improve to 6-2.
The game itself was not all that close as the Broncos scored on trick plays and new players getting involved such as wide receiver Thomas Sperbeck who caught six receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown.
The Broncos were led by quarterback Grant Hedrick who had a huge game with 410 yards four touchdowns and an interception. Plus, Jay Ajayi was able to crack the Broncos rush defense by rushing for 118 yards and a pair of touchdown, plus he had a pair of receptions for 28 yards.
