It may be a little while longer before we see Joey Iosefa back on the field for Hawaii, as it was confirmed by Hawaii AD Ben Jay that the star running back was arrested for DUI at 5 A.M. Sunday morning in Honolulu. Iosefa posted $500 bond and was released. He's due in court on November 11th.
Iosefa was expected to return to action after suffering a fractured ankle against Oregon State at the beginning of the season, but this arrest will delay his return with further disciplinary action coming Tuesday morning according to Jay.
Iosefa has been UH's leading rusher for the last two of the last three seasons, and was named to the Doak Walker Watch List prior to the season.
Hawaii travels to San Diego State this Saturday in hopes to move to 2-0 in Mountain West play.
