2014 college football rankings, Week 8: Colorado State earning votes

The latest college football rankings have no Mountain West teams, but Colorado State is earning votes.

Lance Iversen-USA TODAY Sports

The latest Week 8 college football rankings have been released and once again there are no Mountain West teams ranked, however there is hope for one team. The Colorado State Rams are 5-1, after holding off Nevada 31-24, and are on a four-game winning streak after losing to Boise State back in Week 2.

Colorado State is still a ways from being in the top 25 as they have just five in the coaches poll to just three points in the AP poll. It will take a combination of the Rams to keep winning and those teams ranked ahead of them before the Rams show up in the top 25 polls.

In the meantime here is the current polls for Week 8.
