Boise State has been in the need of another quarterback on their roster, and they had a great chance to land four-star quarterback K.J. Carta-Samuels. Despite the quarterback opening up about having a great visit to Boise, he has chosen to play college football at Washington.
He made the decision via his Twitter account Wednesday afternoon.
This is a big blow for Boise State since they were narrowing in on a pair of four-star recruits, which would have been a program first. However, the Broncos did get some quarterback relief by signing freshman junior college transfer Tommy Stuart earlier in the week.
Carta-Samuels has not really said why he chose Washington over Boise State, but hearing what he said about the two schools the choice was extremely close.
As for who Boise State has lined up at another quarterback, they do have four-star California quarterback Brad Kaaya coming in for an official visit, but Boise State has a lot of work to do to sway him from Miami. After Kaaya, all of the other quarterbacks that Boise State has offered have verbal commitments elsewhere.
