New head coach Bryan Harsin's has landed another for his 2014 class as Norco, Calif., running back Cory Young has verbally committed to play for Boise State. The three-star back stands at just 5-foot-10-inches and weighs just 180 pounds, so there will be a need to beef up his frame.

Typically a running back of his size has great top-end spend, but what has been documented so far is a 40-yard time of just 4.76-seconds. However, taking a look at his highlight videos Young seems to have explosive speed as well as some good foot work to avoid tackles, plus he usually follows his blockers.

Oregon, Washington State and Cal showed interest in Young, but the offers he had came from San Jose State, Utah State, Nevada and a few FCS programs.

While Young has verbally agreed to Boise State, he still has an official visit set up with Washington State on Jan. 24 and he said he may take another trip to Washington, but that was last week when Young said those comments. The Washington State visit is the only one still set up, but that might easily change since he committed Monday night to Boise State.

Young is the only running back who has committed to Boise State so far in 2014, and with Aaron Baltazar transferring from the program there could be room for Young to get playing time as a true freshman.
