The 2014 NFL Draft is finally here after being delayed to a Rockettes Show, and was since pushed back since they were not ready. That extra two weeks allowed for more mock drafts and even more detailed looked at the players.
The Mountain West could has the chance for three players who could be taken in the first round: Fresno State's Derek Carr (draft profile), Boise State's Demarcus Lawrence (draft profile) or Nevada's Joel Bitonio (draft profile). There is also the option that none of those players go in the first round, but it does seem that the most likely player to go in the first round is Carr.
There has been a lot of talk about Carr to the Cleveland Browns or Arizona Cardinals. The Browns have a pair of first round picks with their second one being at No. 26 and a landing spot for Carr, but the Cardinals will have a shot to take Carr earlier as they pick No. 20. There also could be some teams trading into the tail end of the first round if Carr slips past the Browns second pick at No. 26.
We also will have updates on all of the Mountain West picks as they are announced, and look for all of our updates at our NFL Draft hub over the weekend. Also, chime in with your comments below as the draft moves along this Thursday night.
To watch the NFL Draft it is being broadcast by ESPN and the NFL Network, plus online via NFL.com Live and WatchESPN. The draft begins at 8 p.m. ET with each team getting 10 minutes between picks.
