The Carolina Panthers are looking to bring in Wyoming free safety/cornerback Marqueston Huff for a workout this morning. Huff the 6'0", 195-pounder out of Texarkana, Texas is considered by many a possible day two or three prospect.
After spending his first three seasons as a cornerback, he was moved to free safety this past Fall. He recorded 127 tackles this past season (second on the team), averaging 10.6 per contest (11th in FBS). He is a physical and athletic defensive back, Huff brings a NFL team a versatile defender and a quality special teams player.
The question with the Panthers or any team in general, what position are they mostly looking for him to play? This past season the Panthers had Captain Munnerlyn, Drayton Florence, Melvin White, Josh Thomas and Josh Norman at corner. At the free safety position they had Mike Mitchell and Colin Jones.
