Arizona and San Diego State tip off late on Thursday night for the right to go the Elite Eight -- or if you are the Wildcats it is already a done deal.
It is now time to take a look around the Internet to see who is taking Arizona and who is taking San Diego State. Let's first start with FiveThirtyEight.com with their percentage based predictions.
The four experts over at CBSSports.com all have Arizona topping San Diego State.
ESPN.com's Myron Medcalf predicts extra time is needed for Arizona and San Diego State.
Overtime for San Diego State-Arizona. When San Diego State and Arizona faced off in November, the Wildcats were just too big, athletic and quick for the Aztecs. But Steve Fisher's program didn't lose again until Feb. 11. A big challenge for the Aztecs in that matchup was the 1-for-7 effort by Josh Davis, who was playing just his second game with the team after transferring from Tulane. He's far more comfortable now as the anchor of an SDSU frontcourt that will be physical with Aaron Gordon, Kaleb Tarczewski and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. I still think Arizona is a Final Four team, but the Wildcats will need overtime to finish off an SDSU squad that will fight with its West Coast foe until the final seconds.
Arizona is the clear favorite against San Diego State, but the Wildcats are just a six- to seven-point favorite over the Aztecs. While San Diego State is the underdog, they are not completely out of it.
