San Diego State had to use extra time to top New Mexico State on Thursday night, and their reward is to take on No. 12 North Dakota State who was able to upset No. 5 Oklahoma. The Aztecs are looking to avoid last year's fate where they fell to No. 15 seed Florida Gulf Coast in the Round of 32.
This time they facing another upset-minded team in North Dakota, but expect for Steve Fisher to have his team ready to go Saturday afternoon, and not face the same fate as last year's team.
San Diego State will need to play one of their better games when they face the Bison, since they like to run and put up over 70 points per game. While San Diego State has a good defense they are unable to keep pace in a high scoring game, so the Aztecs will need to have their defense step up in this game.
Here is North Dakota State's locker room after their win over Oklahoma, and safe to say they are very excited they won and are ready to play San Diego State.
