Black Friday football open thread

Colorado State vs. Air Force is the only Mountain West game, but there are a bunch of other games on Black Friday.

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

This is a great weekend for college football with games that began on Thursday and continue with a strong slate on Friday and Saturday. Colorado State goes to Air Force in the only Mountain West game on Friday and it has importance for the Mountain Division race. If the Rams win they stay in the hunt to win the Mountain, and win the division if Boise State loses.

If Air Force wins they then knock out Colorado State and that then means the winner of Utah State and Boise State will win the Mountain Division. This game kicks at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

There are plenty of other games to chime in about on Friday and one of the biggest games that has a direct impact on the College Football Playoff. That game is Marshall hosting Western Kentucky (12 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1) and if the Thundering Herd some how lose then that all but assures if either Boise State or Colorado State win the Mountain West then they will go to a New Years' Day Bowl.

Stop by and chat and talk about all of these games, and provide predictions.
