The Mountain West already has a pair of games in the books with Utah State upsetting BYU and Fresno State improving to 2-0 in Mountain West play as they topped San Diego State. Let's see if this college football Saturday can provide some of the same excitement from Friday night.
There is a nice mix of non-conference and conference games. The two biggest games, at least on paper, are Air Force hosting Navy for the first leg of the Commander-in-Chief trophy and then the night cap has Boise State traveling to Nevada for another key conference showdown.
Not to say the other games are not as important but those mentioned are the games to watch today. Hawaii at Rice will be intriguing because if for nothing else to see how the quarterback situation is being handled. New Mexico going to UTSA has the same intrigue as Hawaii at Rice, because Cole Gautsche is expected to start but the talented Lamar Jordan is looming large in the shadows to earn the starting job.
As always stop by and chat about these Mountain West games, and of course any other games of interest because this Week 6 has a lot of good action.
