What to watch for: Will the Aztecs crack 20 at halftime?
Serious question, here. To say SDSU's offense has especially struggled recently would be a gross understatement; it's averaging 27.5 points per half in Mountain West play and it scored 19 points in two of its last four halves. The Aztecs' defense is top-notch as usual, allowing the sixth-fewest points per game in the country (54.3). But unless they can consistently score in the 60s, the Aztecs will struggle mightily in conference play.
SDSU did, however, put together an impressive 17-0 scoring run in the second half against Fresno State to tie the game at 40 before losing 59-57. Senior guard Aqeel Quinn said the team found something that worked offensively during that stretch, but he wouldn't tell reporters what it was at yesterday's press conference.
