Today starts conference season for the 24th ranked Colorado State Rams. The Rams will be playing a Boise State team that was picked to compete in conference this year. However those chances too a hit when Anthony Drimic was lost for the season due to an ankle injury. The Rams will be looking to stay undefeated against a Boise team that shoots the ball well and scores lots of points.
Time: 7 PM MT
Broadcast: Root Sports ESPN 102.3/105.5
Odds: CSU -8 and over/under 128.5
The Rams are lead by seniors Stanton Kidd, JJ Avila, and Daniel Bejarano. Despite going 0 for 10 from the field in the win against New Mexico State Bejarano still made a good enough impact on defense and dishing the ball. Avila had a big game and Kidd played great despite fouling out. The Rams also have impact players that come off the bench in John Gillon, Gian Clavel, and Carlton Hurst. Fred Richardson is also making an impact after sitting out the first nine games. The Rams will need a big game from their big 3 and the energy guys to stave off a pesky Boise State team.
Boise is lead by Derrick Marks, and Anthony Drimic. With Drimic being out Mikey Thompson will have to step up in order to keep the focus off Marks. The Broncos can score points but their most recent loss was a 48-45 loss to Loyola Illinois. They also allow over 62 pointes per game so the Rams will probably need to score over 70 to win this game. The Broncos struggle on the boards so the Rams can take advantage of that with their length.
This should be an entertaining matchup but I'm going with the Rams in this game winning a high scoring affair over the Broncos.
