2014 Hawaii football recruiting: Rainbow Warriors land RB D.J. Riggins

Hawaii landed a verbal commitment for its 2014 recruiting class in three-star running back D.J. Riggins is who stands at 5'11'' and is 170 pounds. According to Stephen Tsai of the Star Advertiser, Riggins can run a 4.46-second, 40-yard dash and can manage a vertical jump of 36 inches.

Riggins is a California native who attends private school Oaks Christian High. Scout.com have him rated as a three star recruit. Hawaii was his only offer but he had interest from Cal, Utah, San Diego State, Fresno State, UCLA, Washington and Fresno State.

He will be the second running back commit to the Warriors after Harris Ross (a two-star recruit) gave a verbal agreement earlier on this year. The total number of recruits with verbals in place for 2014 currently stands at nine.
