Fresno State, Colorado at work to reschedule game

Fresno State and Colorado are working hard to find a makeup date for the game that has been postponed due to flooding in the Boulder area.

Saturday's matchup between Fresno State and Colorado is not going to happen due to severe rain and flooding in the boulder area. There has been no make up date announced at all, but the schools are working hard to find a third-party to swap some bye weeks to make this game happen.

Getting this games on the book is more of a concern to Fresno State then Colorado, because the Bulldogs have a lot more to play for like a bowl game, Mountain West title game and even possibly a BCS bowl shot, if things go right. The first reaction was to play on Dec. 7, but that is the date for both leagues title games, and Fresno State has a very good chance of being in that game.

Next up would be to look at each teams bye weeks, Fresno State has off weeks on Oct. 12 and Nov. 16, and Colorado's bye weeks are Sept. 21 and Oct. 19.

There are plenty of scenarios but one that looks very simple would be to move this game to Oct. 19, and then the UNLV and Fresno State could move their original game from Oct. 19 to Nov. 16 where both teams have a bye. However, UNLV may have a gripe since they would then play a game a few days later on Thursday Nov. 21 at Air Force.

There probably will be a lot of teams not willing to make the move, but look for something to get down to have this game played this year.
