Colorado vs. Fresno State game postponed due to severe flooding in Boulder

The whether in Colorado is bad, really bad. There has been severe rain which has caused flooding and people to evacuate the city of Boulder, and the University is closed.

Here is the announcement from Colorado's Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano about postponing the game:

"Even though the weather is improving, Boulder is still designated as a national emergency site," the chancellor said. "Our community is hurting. Many of our students are displaced from their homes, including many of our student-athletes. This is not an appropriate time for us to hold a game that would put pressure on the community, both in terms of security/emergency personnel, but also in diverting attention from people in need."

Colorado head coach Mike Macintyre and athletic director Rick George are all in agreement with DiStefano to postpone the game to help the city of Boulder recover from this nasty weather before playing a college football game.

There has been no official announcement about when this game could be made up.

However, Dec. 7 has been tossed around as an idea, but it is the same day as the Pac-12 and Mountain West title game. Fresno State has a much better chance of making their respective title game then Colorado, but the two schools are working things out.
