2013 Mountain West player rankings, No. 22: San Jose State DT, Travis Raciti

The 50 player countdown to the start of the 2013 college football season continues with No. 22.

Author's note: At this point in time, I have written the rankings for the last few days and a couple of players (like Raciti tonight) do not show up in my personal rankings. Your outrage has been noted and management has been made aware: Thank you.

The countdown of the 50 best Mountain West players continues with the No. 22 ranked player: San Jose State, DT Travis Raciti.

Raciti had a fantastic year last season, earning All-WAC First Team honors. The Spartan finished 2012 with 8.5 sacks and 13 tackles for losses which was good for 35th in the nation. As a result, Raciti has been named to a couple award watch lists this season: the Bednarik Award and the Lombardi Award.

The junior from San Jose State also picked up preseason honors within the conference as well, earning a spot on the All-Mountain West First Team. At 6-5, 290 pounds, Raciti is a monster on the line and won't hesitate to cause chaos for opposing offensive lines. On a defense that had 42 sacks last season, Raciti will be playing the role of the front-line commander, who will literally lead his troops in the trenches.
