Utah State vs. Utah final score: Aggies fall to Utes, 30-26

A quick reaction to Utah State falling to Utah.

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Utah State Aggies had this game wrapped up over in-state rival Utah Utes. Well, that was until the Aggies decided to slow down their offense and allowed Utah to make a stop and score a touchdown, perform an onside kick and proceed to score 14 unanswered points.

In the end it was Utah winning 30-26, and the key point is the decision midway in the third quarter for Utah State head coach Matt Wells to run Joe Hill two times and then they were forced to throw on third-and-six. That nine-point lead at the time did not last.

Overall, this was the Chuckie Keeton show as he completed 31 of 40 for 314 yards and two touchdowns, plus he ran for another 85 yards plus a TD. Another issue for Utah State was that they always seemed to be in a third and long situation, yes they went 10 of 17 but still they had too many third downs and s many were around seven yards or more to convert a first down.

Running back Joe Hill had a nice first game and somewhat looks like prior Utah State running backs like Robert Turbin and Kerwynn Williams. Hill had 75 rushing yards and 39 more in the receiving game.

Here are some highlights of this game:
