San Diego State Announces Non-conference Hoops Schedule

San Diego State will be playing a lot of their non-conference games at home this year.

USA TODAY Sports

San Diego State will play 11 of its 12 non-conference games in Southern California including seven at home at the Viejas Arena.  Highlighting the non-conference schedule are home games against Arizona and Washington, the Wooden Legacy in Orange County, a road trip to Kansas.

The Aztecs still rule California and have a 33-0 record against California schools since December 2, 2009. That is the best record by any school, against any state in the country.  The Aztecs also top California schools in attendance by averaging 12,414 per home game more than UCLA, Cal, Fresno State and USC basketball programs. They have played in front of 22 consecutive home sellouts and are 59-5 at Viejas in the last 4 seasons and have won 111 of 124 games at home since the 2009-2010 season.

SDSU will prep for the season with a Nov. 1 exhibition home game vs. Cal State San Marcos before opening the season with UC Riverside. The Aztecs are 10-0 against UCR.  On November 14 Arizona comes to Viejas for the first time since 2009. Following Arizona the Aztecs face San Diego Christian at home.
