Utah receiver Quinton Pedroza transfers to Hawaii

Hawaii tries it luck with Utah transfer wide receiver Quinton Pedroza

Russ Isabella-US PRESSWIRE

Hawaii just landed transfer Quinton Pedroza who is making the move from the Utah Utes and he will redshirt this season. Starting in 2014 he will have two years left of eligibility to play for the Rainbow Warriors.

Stephen Tsai of the Warrior Beat is reporting that Pedroza was used mostly as a special teams player at Utah, but he was to be a key player at wide receiver for Utah in the 2013 season. He was released from the team because of an incident involving underage drinking.

Hopefully, Pedroza has learned from his transgression and will be able to bring something extra to the receiving core starting in 2014.

Out of high school, Pedroza was listed as a three-star recruit and played his high school football in California.
