SDSU announces first-ever game against Penn State in 2015

The San Diego St. Aztecs announced Tuesday that they will travel to State College, Pa., to play the Penn St. Nittany Lions in 2015, according to San Diego State director of athletics Jim Sterk. The game will we be played on Sept. 26, 2015.

This contest will be the first-ever meeting between the Aztecs and Nittany Lions. It will also mark the third time in five seasons that SDSU will play a team from the Big Ten Conference. The Aztecs played Michigan in the Big House in 2011 and this September the Aztecs travel to Columbus to take on pre-season No. 1 Ohio State.

With the addition of the Nittany Lions, the Aztecs' road schedule for the 2015 campaign is most likely set. SDSU is scheduled to play at Cal in Berkeley (Sept. 12) and at Penn State (Sept. 26) in non-conference games, and Mountain West contests at Colorado State, Hawai`i, San Jose State and UNLV.
