Aztec Basketball Land First 2014 Hoops Recruit, PG Kevin Zabo

San Diego State landed their first 2014 recruit.

USA TODAY Sports

Kevin Zabo has verbally committed to Steve Fisher's San Diego State Aztecs. Zabo is a versatile 6'2" 185 pound point guard that can score, and comes from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, one of the top prep schools in the country, the Findlay Prep of the north east.  Aztec Assistant Coach Justin Hutson has had a relationship with Zabo's AAU team CIA Bounce where he landed both Khem Birch and Anthony Bennett at UNLV. Zabo is originally from Quebec, Canada and has played for the Canadian Cadets national team.

Zabo tweeted "I'm truly blessed and happy to say that I have committed to San Diego State University! #SDSU #Aztecs"

Overall Zabo is the highest rated point guard recruited by Steve Fisher out of high school and could play along side of D'Erryl Williams as a two guard if needed. Both players can well play off the ball and score.

According to Rivals.com, Zabo committed to the Aztecs over offers from West Virginia, Iowa State, Illinois and George Washington and with high interest from Uconn and Villanova. Zabo is a 3-star point guard on all national ranking services; Scout, Rivals and ESPN.
