Following a spring of suspensions and players being dismissed, the lead in to fall camp at the Mountain West Media Day in Vegas, under first year Coach Brian Polian got started in a disappointing way. Announced was seven players who will no longer be apart of the program moving forward.
On the offense side of the ball Nevada loses three young receivers who were unlikely to receive much playing time this year. Those players include Travis Gardner, Marquis Newell and Chance Early. The bigger loss to the offense is on the line where Sebastian Tretola and Abe Abdelkarim are no longer on the team. Tretola was likely to compete for a starting guard spot. The depth on the offense line now because an even bigger issue heading into the season.
On defense, Cortez Woods and Kyle Papendorf, are now gone. Both were defensive lineman looking to make an impact for the Wolf Pack.
