The No. 47 spot on the countdown of the Mountain West's top-50 players is Utah State linebacker Zach Vigil. Vigil had a breakout sophomore for Utah State where he went from four tackles as a freshman to 105 in 2012. He also tallied 9.5 tackles for a loss and 5.5 sacks.
Improving off of 2012 will be difficult, but Utah State's linebacking corp is very strong so defenses can not just focus on Vigil, or any of the others. Regardless of his stats do not get better he will likely be one of the best linebackers in the Mountain West this upcoming season.
