College football is a mere 50 days away and so begins our countdown of the 50 best players heading into the Mountain West. The honorable mention list is already done and the No. 50 players comes as a shock as it is Colorado St. Rams quarterback Garrett Grayson.
The thing about Grayson is that he may not even be the Rams starting quarterback heading into the 2013 as there will be a competition this fall between Grayson and Conner Smith.
In 2012, Grayson played in only six games due to breaking his clavicle against Air Force, so his stats were not all that great. In those six games, Grayson completed 56.5 percent of his passes for 946 yards, tossed seven touchdowns and three just three interceptions. If he gets the starting job over Smith, he will likely deserve this spot.
