There are some interesting lines among this group. The most absurd goes to Colorado State being a whopping 41-point underdog to defending national champion Alabama. Crimson Tide. Alabama is no doubt going to win the game, but being almost a six touchdown underdog seems a bit too much.
The other could go to San Diego State being 21-point underdogs to Ohio State. The Aztecs could give good ol' Urban Meyer's defense a run with Adam Muema carrying the ball. Actually, the San Diego State line that is more perplexing is how the Aztecs can be a 6.5-point underdog to Oregon State, and at home no less.
Also, anyone who puts Air Force as a double-digit underdog is a bit foolish. Not that Air Force will beat Notre Dame, but an 18-point line is too much for a run-first and ball-control style offense that the Falcons run.
Nevada also is getting little to no respect from the oddsmakers. UCLA and Florida State are quality opponents, but being a 15- and 26-point underdog is high, even for a road game. Also being a touchdown underdog at home to BYU doesn't seem correct. The Cougars have the potential for a very good offense, it all depends on quarterback Taysom Hill, and Nevada's weakness is their defense. Despite that, BYU's defense is going to take a step back and Nevada has a very good quarterback in Cody Fajardo.
