The Mountain West had an amazing NBA Draft with four players selected, and Anthony Bennett going No. 1 overall to Cleveland. More good news came out of Las Vegas when guard Anthony Marshall latched onto the two-time defending champion Miami Heat, and he will play for their summer league in a few weeks.

Marshall will play in the summer leagues in San Diego and Las Vegas between July 12 to 22, and perhaps the familiarity of the locations will allow Marshall to be comfortable and have good performances. Making the Heat as an undrafted free agent will be difficult, but it has been done in the past. One thing going for Marshall is that the Heat did not have any draft picks this year, so maybe they want to add at least one rookie on their roster.

In his final season at UNLV, Marshall averaged 10.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game with a 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio and was UNLV's Anthony Marshall will play for the Miami Heat and its summer league team.named a second-team All-Mountain West selection.
