Former UNLV Runnin' Rebels power forward was taken No. 1 in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he joined ESPN 1100 in Las Vegas to talk about being taken No. 1.
Bennett joins rare company as he becomes just the second-ever UNLV player to be taken as the top pick in the NBA Draft. Larry Johnson was selected No. 1 overall over 20 years ago in 1991, and Bennett also becomes just the second Mountain West player to go tops in the NBA draft as he joins Utah's Andrew Bogut with that honor.
Bennett discusses in the interview about how he came to the decision to leave UNLV after just one season and go to the NBA. He mentioned how he was emotional in making the decision and had to talk with his family about his choice. His main reason to go was to help support his family.
