Former Texas Tech Red Raiders running back Ronnie Daniels was supposed to be a key piece of the 2013 San Diego St. Aztecs recruiting class. Plus, he was going to compete on the depth chart to be the number two back up to all-conference tail back Adam Muema. But according to Rivals.com, Daniels is now done with college football.
The 6'2", 210 pound back signed his Letter of Intent with San Diego State in February after being dismissed from the Texas Tech program as a three-striker. Daniels called the dismal a "misunderstanding' and there was no formal reason from the Red Raiders for his dismissal.
Daniels sent a text message to the AztecsSportsReport.com saying, "All I have to say is I am sorry to all my fans and friends." Daniels has been attending Grossmont City College and was suppose to be enrolled at San Diego State this fall.
Daniels last played football at Texas Tech in 2012 and had nine carries for 43 yards and one touch down, he was a three-star recruit out of La Cueva high schools out of Albuquerque, N.M., and a member of the Texas Tech 2011 recruiting class.
