2014 NFL Mock Draft: Another draft has David Fales as a first rounder

San Jose State quarterback David Fales is getting a lot of attention for the 2014 NFL Draft.

More 2014 NFL mock drafts are appearing online, while premature they are still fun to speculate and look at. Once again, San Jose State quarterback David Fales is being slotted in a first round.

Mocking the Draft has another early mock, this time by Matthew Fairburn, and he has Fales going to the Minnesota Vikings with the No. 16 pick. That is three spots higher than their other mock draft, which has Fales going to the Chicago Bears with No. 19 pick.

Heading to Minnesota means that they are not happy with Christian Ponder who would have just finished his third season with the club. With the uncertainty with Ponder there could be a chance that Fales could step in right away and be a starting quarterback for the 2014 season.

In Mocking the Draft's initial Big Board of top 64 players, they have Fales ranked as the 24th overall players and the third quarterback in their rankings; Teddy Bridgewater is the No. 2 overall prospect and Clemson's Tajh Boyd is ranked as the 13th overall player.
