The Portsmouth Invitational announced their rosters for their four day event this past week, the event features some of the fringe prospects who are looking to be second round draft picks or undrafted free agents. However, there are a few players who are considered in the top 100 according to DraftExpress.
A few of those players reside in the Mountain West and they are Colorado State's Colton Iverson who is rated No. 78 and UNLV's Anthony Marshall who is at No. 94. In addition to those Mountain West players, San Diego State's Chase Tapley, and Nevada's Malik Story are also attending the event.
While this is not an event to feature the best prospects, it does give these possibly under looked players who played at a smaller school and give them another chance to impress the scouts.
The format of this event is a four-day tournament featuring eight teams, and there are a total of 64 players involved. With Iverson, Tapley and Marshall being a fringe draftable player this is an excellent chance for them to up their draft stock.
