Jalen Greene of Serra High in Gardena, California is the second recruit who has committed to the Boise State football program for the class of 2014. The 6-3, 204 lb., dual-purpose quarterback actually started out playing football as a wide receiver, but switched to QB where he has started the past two years. Last season as a junior, he passed for 2,443 yards and ran for 1,137 more, racking up over 3,000 yards of offense. He was 167 of 266 in passing, with 25 passing TD's. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds and averaged 7.53 yards per carry with 9 TD's for the season.

He also led the Serra Cavaliers to the CIF Division II state championship.

The Broncos are the only team to offer him a scholarship so far. Greene plans to graduate from high school early and join the Broncos in January becoming one of the five Boise State QB’s on the roster who will be looking to replace graduating senior QB Joe Southwick.

Greene joins Khalil Oliver, 6-0, 185 lbs, a defensive back out of Rocky Mountain HS in Meridain, Idaho as the first two recruits in the class of 2014.
