Boise St. Broncos cornerback Jamar Taylor was passed over in the first round of the NFL Draft, not all that surprising however his descent in the second round was. Taylor was finally picked by the Miami Dolphins with the No. 54 pick of the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

The Dolphins are getting a versaitle cornerback who can play man or zone coverage. His strengths that should translate at the next level is his ability to get physical with receivers, can cause receivers to get off of their route with his, has gret instinct off of the ball and has fluid hips which help in breaking on balls and staying with receivers.

Taylor is not without his weaknesses which include below recovery speed, he bites on play action too often which allows receivers to get free behind him and needs to improve his technique in press coverage.

Taylor is good at making plays as he had 13 interceptions and 22 pass breakups in his career. He is also good in helpingo ut in the running game, in his final year at Boise State he racked up 51 tackles, 3.5 for a loss and 2.5 sacks.

He has the talent and should be able to contribute in his rookie year, and is a good fit for the Dolphins.
