2014 Colorado State football recruiting: Taven Bryan has interest from Colorado State, national programs

Casper, Wyo., lineman Taven Bryan plans on visiting Colorado State this summer, as well as visiting other national programs.

The Colorado St. Rams are in the running to land 6-foot-5, 250-pound Casper (Wyo.) Natrona County lineman Taven Bryan. Bryan is a rare prospect out of Wyoming who has interest and offers from across the country. His current offers hail from Colorado State, Wyoming, Washington, and Washington State, plus he has interest from Nebraska, Tennessee, Oregon, Kansas and Oklahoma.

This past weekend Bryan took in the spring game for Nebraska, and hopes to get an offer from them.

Bryan has played offensive line high school, but would prefer to play defense at the next level. HIs choice to play defense could affect where he could end up. Washington wants to place him at defensive end, as does Colorado State, Washington State is recruiting him at offensive lineman, and Wyoming is looking at Bryan as a tight end in addition to the possibility of playing offensive or defensive line.

Bryan is looking to take a visit this summer to Colorado State attend a team, and that will give him a chance to check out the school for the first time, and to meet with defensive coordinator Marty English, which is who extended a scholarship offer to Bryan.

Bryan recalled part of his conversation with English this past week with Gold and Green News:

"He said he was looking forward to seeing me and said I fit perfect at their D-end position," he said. "I've been researching them so far and I haven't gotten that far into the research, but I'm looking at them and who their coaches are, that sort of deal."

While Bryan will be visisting Colorado State this summer, he has a very bus April with visits to Oklahoma and Kansas, plus the possibility of heading out West to visit Oregon.

The main things that Bryan is looking for is a school that has good academics, a good football team and one that has a family atmosophere, you know, the generics.
