Apparently San Diego State is having an open competition at the quarterback despite how Adam Dingwell performed when Ryan Katz had a season-ending injury. The players being considered are Jake Bernards, a three-year backup with just one career attempt, then there are sophomores Chad Jeffries and Matt Morin.

Fresno State announced Friday that wide receiver A.J. Johnson has been indefinitely suspended by the football program. Johnson has played in 25 career games with 395 yards, but he did not play at all last year.
