The San Diego St. Aztecs are looking to make it to their second Sweet 16 appearance in three years when they take on the No. 15 seeded Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. The Aztecs are nearly a double-digit favorite, but they can not relax against the Eagles even though they come from the Atlantic Sun and area a 15 seed.
FGCU is an athletic team, and one can just check the highlights of their win against Georgetown for some evidence. This team did not rely on three-point shooting for an upset, they took it to the Hoyas. San Diego State is very athletic and can push the tempo as well, just look back at their second half run in their opening round win against Oklahoma.
Who knows, maybe FGCU used up all of their game against Georgetown and come out flat, similarly to what No. 14 Harvard did against Arizona on Saturday where they were blown out.
All what matters is for San Diego State to play like they did in the second half against Oklahoma, and then they should be fine and make it to the Sweet 16.
