Halftime: Fresno St. 29, Colorado St. 26

Fresno State has taken and the absence of guard Dorian Greent advantage and foul trouble for Colorado State's big men and take a 29-26 lead into halftime in the quarterfinals of the 013 Mountain West Conference Tournament.

LAS VEGAS – The 7-seed Fresno St. Bulldogs are poised to produce the first upset of the 2013 Mountain West Conference Tournament, leading 29-26 at halftime of their match up against the 2-seed Colorado St. Rams at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV.

The Rams have played largely without the services of big men Colton Iverson and Pierce Hornung, who have both been limited by foul trouble. Iverson scored just one point the first half and has two rebounds. Hornung has scored four points with five rebounds. they have also missed the play of senior guard Dorian Green, who is not playing due to an ankle injury.

The two teams have played evenly in the game with CSU's rebounding advantage largely neutralized. The Rams still hold and advantage on the board, 18 to 15. But Colorado State has only scored seven second chance points and has only a 12-8 advantage on points in the paint.

Greg Simth of CSU leads all scorers with nine points. Gerson Santo and Jonathan Octeus have four points each for CSU

Jerry Brown Jr. is pacing Fresno State with eight points on 3 of 4 shooting. Allen Huddleston added seven points, making 4 of 5 free throws. The Bulldogs have shot 39% for the half (9 of 23) and 4 of 8 from the 3-point line and 7 of 10 from the free throw line.

CSU is shooting just 35% from the field, 9 of 26 and just 1 of 5 from 3-point land. The Rams have shot 7 of 11 on free throws so far in the game.
