Nevada was one of multiple Mountain West schools that had to replace a new head coach late in the recruiting cycle. Brian Polian is a known big time recruiting at his prior coaching stops, and this class does not really reflect that. The Wolf Pack did lose recruits near the end, but look for the 2014 class to be much better.
The top offensive recruit that Nevada was able to bring in was offensive tackle Ziad Damanhoury out of La Jolla, Calif. He is a three-star player and the 107th player in the country at his position. The top skill position player is dual-threat quarterback Dante Mayes who was the 56th rated dual-threat player.
The top rated defensive player was Ian Seau who is the nephew of the late Junior Seau. He is a junior college transfer where in his one year there he had 18 sacks, and he was the fourth rated JUCO linebacker in this class.
