The Fresno State Bulldogs announced their 2013 class with 24 recruits sending in Letters of Intent on Wednesday. In addition, the Bulldogs added 4 mid-year enrollees in Bakersfield College QB Brian Burrell, Citrus College Safety Rodney Mathews, Mt. San Antonio College Center Patrick Kim, and American River College Guard Josh Tremblay. A 25th recruit, TE Mike Dunn from Bakersfield College, did not sign today but is expected to do so at a later date.
The highest-rated recruit was QB Zack Greenlee out of Stockton, rated 88 and a three-star. On the other side of the ball, the highest-graded was S Rodney Mathews, a 3-star safety with an 87 rating.

Some notes on a few of the recruits:
- Fresno State needed immediate help on the offensive line, and they got it. Of the six total OL signees, four were from junior colleges, two enrolled early.
- The Bulldogs also loaded up on the DL as well, signing three DEs and two NGs. While the DL performed well in 2012, the depth was rather suspect.
- While DeRuyter didn't say as much, it is assumed that Brian Burrell will compete for the backup QB job, allowing Zack Greenlee to redshirt and compete in 2014.
- Robert Stanley is the prototypical Joker OLB. He can blitz, cover, sheds blocks well....does everything Possibly the most underrated prospect in the class. At only 16, he still has some growing to do and according to DeRuyter could top out at 6-5 and around 250 pounds
