The New Mexico Lobos moved up in both the Associated Press poll and USA Today/ ESPN Coaches poll, which were both released Monday morning while the San Diego St. Aztecs clung on to their ranking in the Coaches poll but fell out of the Top 25 in the AP rankings.
The Lobos garned 295 votes to move up to No. 16 in this week's Coaches from No. 22 last week and took in with 660 votes in the AP poll to move up to No. 15 in this week's up from No. 22 last week. UNM is the only MWC team ranked in the AP Top 25.
The San Diego St. Aztecs moved down to No. 25 from No. 20 in the Coaches poll, to finish tied with the Pittsburgh Panthers. Both teams received 54 votes. The Aztecs landed at No. 36 unofficially in the AP poll with 17 votes following their loss to the Air Force Falcons Saturday in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Colorado St. Rams moved up in both polls, landing unofficially at No. 28 in both the Coaches poll and the AP poll. The Rams took in with 38 votes in the Coaches poll and 49 votes in the AP poll.
The UNLV Rebels fell to No. 36 in both polls following their loss to the Boise St. Broncos in Boise Saturday. The Rebels took in 12 votes in the Coaches poll and 13 in the AP poll/
Both polls top seven teams are identical - the Indiana Hoosiers at No. 1, the Florida Gators at No. 2, the Michigan Wolverines at No. 3, the Duke Blue Devils at No. 4 and the Kansas Jayhawks at No. 5.

Only four non-BCS teams remain in the AP Top 25 - the Gonzaga Bulldogs from the West Coast Conference at No. 6, the Butler Bulldogs from the Atlantic 10 at No. 14), UNM at No. 15 and the Creighton Bluejays from the Missouri Valley Conference at No. 16.
Five non-BCS teams remain in the Coaches Top 25 - Gonzaga (6), Creighton (13), Butler (14), UNM (16), the Wichita St. Shocker at No. 22 and SDSU (tied at 25).
