You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would have predicted that the San Diego St. Aztecs and UNLV Runnin' Rebels would be a game behind the Air Force Falcons in the Mountain West Conference rankings with one game left in the first half of MWC play.

But that's where we're at. To the winner goes the spoils - and the first half MWC lead.
• No. 20/22 New Mexico at UNLV - Sat. Feb. 9, 7 p.m. PT | Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, Nev. | TV: NBC Sports Network: The Rebels find themselves in an unlikely spot this week - tied for 4th in the MWC. But Saturday's game begins the second half of the MWC season. And you can bet the Runnin' Rebels will be looking to avenge their loss to the Lobos at The Pit. And to re-establish themselves as contenders for the MWC regular season crown. That quest starts at home Saturday night.
• The Boise St. Broncos at the No. 25 San Diego State - Wed. Feb. 6, 8 p.m. PT | Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl, San Diego, Calif. | TV: Time Warner Cable SportsNet: Like UNLV, San Diego State finds itself outside of the top spot. And they can't be happy about it. Will they take out that frustration on the resurgent Broncos. Or does Boise State continue its rebound and get back into position for an NCAA bid. This game could determine both team's post-season fates.
