Boise State, Virginia agree to future football series

Boise and Virginia have agreed to play a home-and-home in 2015 and 2017.

US PRESSWIRE

The Boise St. Broncos have lined up a major conference school, as they ahve set up a pair of games with Virginia Cavaliers. The two schools have scheduled a home-and-home schedule in 2015 and 2017.

The first game will be on the East coast at Charlottesville, Va., on Sept. 26, 2015, with the final leg being played at Broncos Stadium on Sept. 23, 2017. This will be the first meeting between these two schools.

Boise State athletic directory Mark Coyle is happy with scheduling a school from the ACC:

"I think our fans will be extremely excited about the Broncos hosting an ACC school," Boise State Director of Athletics Mark Coyle stated. "We continue to work hard on scheduling home-and-home games against BCS opponents and a series like this with an east coast team will help spread the Bronco brand."

Virginia is not the biggest name that Boise State has scheduled in the past, it is really on par with the Washington game for 2013. However, it is still better than landing a FCS team, or another school from a non-power league.

For Boise State's 2015 non-conference schedule they now have three of their four games set aside, and it is looking to be a tough slate.
