The Wyoming Cowboys are looking to grab local quarterback in 2014 recruit Austin Fort. Fort is out of Gillette, Wyo., and led his high school team to the 4A state title game. Fort measures in at 6-feet-four-inch, 210-pound quarterback, and is a nice dual threat quarterback.

In his junior year, Fort threw for 2,137 yards and 13 touchdowns, but he also had 12 interceptions. He also ran for 735 yards and another 10 touchdowns, and he has been clocked at a solid 4.6 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

At the college level Fort sees himself as a pocket passer that has the ability to run when needed:

"I am a pocket quarterback, but I can also get out of the pocket and make plays with my feet," Fort said when asked for a self scouting report. "At the same time, I can contribute to the running game. We run a lot of read option, so I can pose that threat to defenses."

"I think it is a great fit," Fort said of Wyoming. "It has a great coaching staff, facilities and their offense is very similar to the one we run at our high school. That would be a good possibility for me and I am excited about the possibility of going there."

Fort also was on of the dozens of high school athletes who visited the campus for Junior Day, and it allowed Fort to check out the campus and meet with newly hired quarterbacks coach Jason Gesser. Gesser wants to see Fort throw before they decide to extend an offer.

Wyoming looks to be a good fit for Fort since he has the capabilites that the Wyoming offense needs in the quarterback, which is mobility. As of now Illinois is the only other school to be showing interest to Fort, and he plans to taken an unofficial visit there on March 25.

Highlights of Fort can be found over at Hudl.
