Boise State announced Sunday that the Boise State Broncos (8-4) have accepted an invitation to the 2013 Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl in Honolulu. This will be the Broncos second appearance in the Hawaii Bowl. Boise State lost to East Carolina in Honolulu in 2007. This time around Boise State will be playing Oregon State (6-6), a former Broncos opponent from the Pac 12.

"I would like to thank the officials at the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl, ESPN and the Mountain West Conference for this opportunity to play in one of the top postseason settings in college football," Boise State athletic director Mark Coyle said. "We are excited for this year's Bronco team, and especially for our senior class."

The Hawaii Bowl could be a great fit for Broncos fans who want to make the trip out to The Islands. It will give many of them the opportunity to see and support the Boise State men's basketball team who will be playing there at the that same time. Those Broncos will be competing in the 2013 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, in Honolulu, on December 22, 23 and 25.

The Hawai'i Bowl will mark Boise State’s 12th-straight bowl appearance and is tied for the seventh-longest active streak in the country.
